The Southwest Agricultural Conference announces its 21st Annual program: “New Ideas, New Opportunities”! Program Chair, Peter Johnson enthuses “WOW! The SWAC team has done it again: here’s another incredible lineup for #SWAC14. If you miss this conference, you will have missed the best educational opportunity available all winter!” Kerrie Jenkin, conference co-chair agrees “the broad program from production to a global perspective gives me the knowledge I need to grow my operation”.
Field crop producers, agribusiness representatives, researchers and students will have the opportunity to hear new ideas from international speakers as well as Ontario’s own expert farmers and researchers. Feature speakers include astronaut Dr. David Williams on “Reaching for the Stars to a Better Environment” and ag humourist Damian Mason on “Humour for the Heart of Agriculture”. Adam Hayes, conference co-chair wants registrants to note that this year, door registrations will not be accepted. Registration can be done on-line on southwestagconference.ca or by phone, fax or mail by December 22, 2013. Early bird discounts and draws are available for those who register by December 6, 2013. Hayes says “don’t miss this opportunity, register now!”.
