The Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario (CFFO) is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year. Members of the organization are commemorating this milestone by sharing their blessings with the many people in this world who are so much less fortunate.

The CFFO has partnered with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, an organization that is well-recognized for its passion to end global hunger. CFFO members across the province have donated more than 140 acres of land on which 100 per cent of the crops will be grown for the Foodgrains Bank, with all the proceeds going towards ending global hunger. In addition to the land being donated, members are also volunteering their equipment and time throughout the growing season. Many other inputs have been provided by other industry partners, including seed dealers and fertilizer companies

The CFFO began as a small organization in 1954 and has grown into a general farm organization that represents more than 4,000 family farms in 21 districts from all sectors of the agricultural industry. “There is no better way for our members to celebrate 60 years of work within Ontario’s agricultural industry than by helping others and sharing the blessings we receive with a hungry world,” according to Lorne Small, CFFO President.
