The Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) has announced the launch of Round 2 of the Alberta-Ontario Innovation Program, in partnership with Alberta Innovates Technology Futures (AITF) and the Governments of Alberta and Ontario.
This program supports inter-provincial industry-academic projects focussed on solving challenges facing key industries in both provinces. Manufacturing and agriculture are among the priority sectors identified for support.
Funded by AITF and OCE, the program will leverage contributions from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and industry partners. The program is valued at up to $12 million in total, and supports academic institutions and businesses in both provinces to collaborate in the development and commercialization of innovative products and services. This is an exciting opportunity for academic institutions and companies to participate in this unique collaboration between Alberta and Ontario.
Deadline for Expressions of Interest: February 13, 2015
