Libro Credit Union is committed to building prosperity in South Western Ontario and is committed in the next year to invest $500,000 in grant money. They are looking for applications from registered charities, co-operatives or community groups whose projects fit within their key focus areas:
1) Regional Economic Development (Entrepreneurship, coop development, rural and agricultural development planning and development.)
2) Money Smarts (building financial knowledge and confidence etc.)
3) Youth Development (opportunities for youth in agricultural business and other rural activity)
The projects need to meet minimum criteria that it will benefit southwestern Ontario, demonstrates fiscal responsibility, demonstrate commitment to the project and it needs to addresses one of the desired outcome. Applications are being accepted from April 9th to June 15th, 2015.
Libro Credit Union is very aware of rural southwestern Ontario and does a lot to support it. The credit union has rural roots. The grant money is available to anyone and not earmarked for people that do business with the credit union.
