Emerging Opportunities for Ontario Agriculture is the focus of this year’s annual convention. The Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario (CFFO) is gearing up for another amazing Convention & Banquet. We want to invite our members, supporters and friends of the organization to join us on Dec. 1 at St. George Banquet Hall in Waterloo, just minutes away from St. Jacob’s Country Market.

Agriculture has changed, moving from smaller farms that require more physical labour to larger farms that use innovative technology for efficiency. The CFFO recognizes that agriculture will continue to develop at a fast pace. Change also creates new opportunities. This year, we have brought some of the best speakers to the convention to talk about new opportunities, innovation and ways we can improve agriculture for the future of farming families.

Cher Mereweather will be speaking on building sustainability in the supply chain. Cher has dedicated 17 years of her career to the agri-food industry. She leads the development of the coalition’s sustainability strategies and goals for the agri-food sector.

Lyndon Carlson will discuss new opportunities in agriculture. He is the Executive Vice-President and chief marketing officer at FCC. He is a highly sought-after speaker across Canada and loves to explore the trends and opportunities in agriculture.

Andrew Campbell is well known for his passion for agricultural advocacy, social media and new technology. With his communications company Fresh Air Media, he speaks and works with companies and organizations across Canada interested in harnessing the power of today’s communication tools in order to inform consumers about agriculture, food and farm practices. With consumers demanding more information about where their food comes from, Andrew will speak on how to answer those tough questions and give advice on speaking positively about farm practices and agriculture.

The CFFO is looking forward to another great convention with motivational speakers, amazing food and fellowship. We encourage farming families to attend and childcare is available. We invite you to come out and spend your day with us exploring important Emerging Opportunities in Ontario Agriculture.
