Ridgetown Campus’ Westag Alumni Association has stepped up to the plate as the champion sponsor for the 2nd annual 5K Sod Buster event being held on Sunday, July 10.
“We’re very fortunate to have such supportive alumni at the Ridgetown Campus. They are always keen to get involved with important initiatives,” says Campus Director, Ken McEwan. The Westag Alumni Association currently has over 7,000 alumni members.
Organizers are excited about the number of Westag alumni already registered for the 5K and encourage more Westags to get involved in the fun! Alumni can walk, run, or be a spectator. The event gets underway at 9 a.m, with registrations open at 8 a.m. in the Rudy H. Brown Rural Development Centre on the Ridgetown campus.
All proceeds from the event go to support the proposed New Crop Research Centre at University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus.
