Planning is underway for the 6th edition of the Buy Local! Buy Fresh! Chatham-Kent map and website. Since the first edition of the Buy Local! Buy Fresh! map was printed in 2007, interest from both consumers and producers has grown.
The interest in farm fresh and locally grown products has driven the demand to update the Chatham-Kent map and website.
Consumers want to know where their products are coming from and how they are produced.
If you grow it or produce it locally why not promote it? Consumers like the convenience of one map to showcase the abundant variety of products available in our area. Buying local has lasting economic value for the region.
Chatham-Kent farmers or producers who are interested in being listed on the 2019-2020 edition of the map and website should contact the Kent Federation of Agriculture.
Spaces are limited and the deadline to register is April 12, 2019.
The committee is also looking for agriculture organizations and businesses interested in sponsoring the 2019-2020 map and website.
