A significant agribusiness deal is expected to close this week.

South West Ag Partners of Chatham has entered into an agreement to buy Palmerston Grain Limited.

South West Ag Partners says the company will continue to operate under the Palmerston Grain name and General Manager Archie Wilson will remain a core part of the Palmerston operation.

Beyond that, details of the deal are not being released.

The announcement points out that C & M Seeds in Palmerston, owned by the same people who own Palmerston Grain, is not part of the deal and will remain a separate and ongoing business.
