Labour shortages now exist in the agri-food sector of Ontario, and are expected to continue for positions that require post-secondary education. As workers retire from the workforce in agriculture and food and beverage processing and the type of employment skills required within the industry evolve, there is a need to better understand and contribute to the role that college and university programs play in addressing human resource challenges.
