CFIA Consultation With Micro And Small Businesses On Safe Food For Canadians Act, Deadline June 30, 2015

on May 13 | in Ag News | by | with No Comments

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has launched a targeted consultation with micro and small businesses across Canada on a new regulatory framework and approach under consideration for bringing the Safe Food for Canadians Act into force. CFIA is seeking feedback from micro and small businesses on the discussion paper, Options for Reducing Burden for Micro and Small Businesses. This consultation will supplement the previous two rounds of consultations held in 2013 and 2014.

CFIA considers a small business as one that generates $100,000 or less in annual food gross sales and a microbusiness as one that has annual food gross sales of $30,000 or less.

Micro and small business owners, don’t miss this opportunity to provide your feedback on the regulatory framework and approach. You can provide your feedback online.

Consultation deadline: June 30, 2015
