Looking for local Chatham-Kent Producers for Farm Market!

You are invited to participate at the Farmers Market to kick off Local Food Week on Monday, June 6, 2016.

This is the third year the province has celebrated Local Food Week.   In Chatham-Kent we are celebrating Local Food Week with a Farmers Market being held on Monday, June 6th.

Farmers Market

Monday, June 6, 2016

11:00 am-1:00 pm

Location – in front of Civic Centre, 315 King St. W, Chatham

The purpose of this Farmers Market is to kick-off “Local Food Week” and to promote local products.  It is early in the season and we would like to encourage consumers to think local and be aware of the abundant diverse products that are grown and produced in our community.

There is no cost to participate in this Farmers Market, but we ask that you pre-register so we know who is attending and how many tables we will require.

Space is limited so please call to reserve your spot as soon as possible.

Deadline to register is June 1st.

The event will begin with a ceremonial flag raising, followed by a few brief words from some dignitaries and then a wonderful Farmers Market.  This event will go on rain or shine and we ask that anyone wanting to participate be fully set up prior to 10:45am.

Early June limits what products are available, however it is amazing what is available at this time of year. So, if you have local products to sell, please call to reserve a table.

Of course if you do not have anything available, we hope you will still come out and support our local producers on June 6th.

To reserve your table, please contact the Kent Federation of Agriculture at 519-674-1500 x63595 or mail kfa@uoguelph.ca
