On May 18 in Guelph farm advisors are going to learn more about helping their farm clients successfully transfer a massive amount of farmland and assets to the next generation of farmers.

CAFA’s Farm Succession Update: Three Circle Model – In-Depth is the premier farm succession day in the country.Farm advisors will hear from top succession professionals about planning opportunities when guiding farm clients through the transition process.

Family business transition can be one of the most stressful challenges one ever faces, but done properly, it can also be the most rewarding. Liz Robertson, CAFA’s Executive Director says that, “There’s no doubt that having the team of professionals working together and together with your family is important, but for farm transitions, having that team understand the business of farming is beneficial.”

CAFA’s mandate is to increase the skills and knowledge of farm advisors. “CAFA is improving the level of farm advice through our Farm Update Series. Advisors who attend this program will certainly come out with additional tools and resources to help their farm clients”, says Robertson.

The Farm Succession Update is offered only once a year in Ontario. The day provides professional development and a unique opportunity to build professional farm-focused networks. It earns 7 CAFA CPD credits, OIA credits and 7 CE’s from Advocis.
