The Kent Federation of Agriculture is seeking local producers to participate at a Farmers Market to help kick off Local Food Week on June 6.
The event will be held in front of the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre (315 King St. W.) in Chatham, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The KFA says the purpose of the market is to encourage consumers to think “local” and be aware of the abundant and diverse amount of products that are grown and produced in the community.
There is no cost to participate in this Farmers Market, but anyone who is interested is asked to pre-register so organizers know who is attending and how many tables will be needed.
The deadline to register is June 1. Space is limited so people are asked to reserve a spot as soon as possible.
To reserve your table, contact the Kent Federation of Agriculture at 519-674-1500 x63595 or email: kfa@uoguelph.ca
