The Ontario Plowmen’s Association is gearing up to host the 2016 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo in Wellington County, Sept. 20 to 24. This year’s host community is the town of Minto (Harriston), Ont.
The 2016 IPM will feature many perennial favourite events including the 2016 RAM Rodeo Tour. IPM visitors will get to witness experienced riders vying for important points on the RAM Rodeo Tour. The IPM is stop 13 of 15 so every point is important.
“The Farming for the Future Tent” will be showcasing the 1/16 scale Enviro-Farm. This exhibit will give farmers and non-farmers alike a chance to learn about modern, environmentally friendly farming. The tent will also feature a speaker series, “Tailgate Talks,” covering a variety of topics such as succession planning, organic farming and using social media in your farm business.
The 2016 IPM is also excited to showcase the RCMP Musical Ride. The shows are set for Tuesday andWednesday. After each show, attendees are welcome to come see the horses and meet the riders.
In addition, 100-acre Tented City includes more than 500 vendors and exhibitors.
